Favourite CKR roles in no particular order - Duck in Wilby Wonderful
When I (very belatedly) discovered the dS fandom, two films kept cropping up as must see, HCL and this. There’s many reasons for that; it’s such a beautiful little film, sad, farcical, moving, true, funny and hopeful. Duck may be only one character in an ensemble piece but he’s the heart and soul of the film, in a zen but cool way.Plus, fantastic cast, and (Slings & Arrows excepted) Paul Gross’ finest non-dS hour. (I admit, the scene with Duck and Buddy in the car made me weep all the “oh, god, there will never be any more dS” weeping.)
And, yeah, Cal in a) sleeveless shirt and then b) that cowboy shirt…….

-I’ll take that air now, Ray.
-I’m tapped out.
-I’ll accept an IOU.
-An IOU on air?
-I want you to honor your wager.
-That’s stupid.

Favourite CKR roles in no particular order - Newbie in Twitch City
Awww, how much do I love TC? Despite it being perilously close to parts of my life, and populated with characters you want to shake (Curtis, I’m looking at you). Another great cast, and a fleeting moment of Hugh Dillon looking cool as fuck, and Cal’s quite fabulous hair and clothes.
Plus, Molly Parker dancing with cat food tins.

Favourite CKR roles in no particular order - Craig in Last Night
I don’t normally watch apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic films, they give me the fear, and massive amounts of sadness. Last Night is brilliant. And terrifying. And so sad.
Luckily I’m shallow enough that I can overcome most things through lust.
